Help with AOC installation and launch fo

I followed the instructions and was told to run the popfix included with the AOCpatch; there was none, so I downloaded popfix2006 and ran it for my AOC directory. When I did this, it changed my Beginning Directory to PopulousAOC and my AOC directory to PopulousAOC/AOC. When I click on the Series Selector link on my desktop, the AOC will not launch; instead, I get this message:
Cannot rename directories! Check that an application isn't using them. I shut down every populous related thing, and yet this message still appears. If I launch AOC via the D3DPopAC, I see one screen that briefly says "Age of Chaos" and then The Beginnning launches! I used popfix to restore my Directories to normal (The beginning uses "Populous" and Populous: AOC uses "PopulousAOC") so could anyone (cough, Warg, cough) tell me how to fix this? |

the exact method to install AOC is to create a clone of your Populous directory called PopulousAOC, then copy the AOC files into PopulousAOC... Make sure the series selector.exe file isnt in the populous or bullfrog directory.
I'm considering making a new type of patch that wont involve 2 directories..since this seems to cause so many problems :S |

Just extract the levels out, be sure to back the originals up though. | |||
